“Aging & HIV: Planning for the Future” was presented on Monday, March 13th as part of the LGBT Elder Initiative’s Aging & HIV series. The program was held at the Office of HIV Planning (OHP) in collaboration with the OHP’s Positive Committee. Attendees learned about the importance of legal planning and received an overview of the legal documents that all adults should complete to ensure that their wishes are respected should something happen to them. Participants also learned about financial planning, including topics of budgeting, building credit, and saving for retirement.
This program was developed by the LGBT Elder Initiative’s HIV & Aging Community Advisory Committee. The presenters at this program were Jacob Eden from the AIDS Law Project and Joseph Wehr from Clarifi. Planning for the Future was sponsored by the AIDS Activities Coordinating Office with additional support from the Philadelphia Gay News and the Office of HIV Planning.
