With everything going on right now with COVID-19, this is understandably a stressful time for many of us. Whether you’re glued to the news and worried about the health of your loved ones, or just bored at home as you self-quarantine and “social distance”, we hope we can be a resource to help members of our community to stay connected with information and with each other.
The LGBT Elder Initiative will be hosting a weekly Zoom video call for anyone who wants to check in. These video calls will simply be an opportunity for folks to connect and share how we are passing the time, staying informed, and staying healthy (physically, mentally, and emotionally!). We will also provide relevant updates about COVID-19 and available services and resources.
We will be holding these calls every Friday at 12:00. To join the call via Zoom, use this link:
If you do not have video conferencing abilities on your computer or phone, you can call in by phone and be able to speak with us. To call in by phone, call 1-929-205-6099 on Friday at 12:00. When joining by phone, you will be asked to enter a password. The password is 138223513#
While it is important that we stay physically isolated during this time, staying socially connected is more important than ever!
