Thinking about the end of your life can be an uncomfortable topic. However, taking the time now to think about what you want at the end of your life can ensure that your wishes are carried out and that your medical, personal, spiritual, and emotional priorities are respected. You have the right and the ability to determine how you will be cared for, what type of treatments you will receive, and who will make decisions for you when you can no longer make them for yourself.

This workshop will begin a discussion of the issues to consider when thinking about end-of-life planning, such as selecting a health care proxy, outlining your medical choices, and understanding options related to hospice and palliative care. Participants will be guided to reflect on their own priorities and end-of-life wishes.
