Push aside the cobwebs of haunted Philadelphia and step inside a haunted Society Hill mansion for ghostly tales of mystery and intrigue! This special Ghost Tour begins outside, with visits to the Strangers Burial Ground and other haunted hotspots, and ends with an indoor tour of either the Powel House or the Physick House, colonial-era mansions in Society Hill. Both sites are said to be haunted, with strange and unexplainable experiences reported for over 70 years. The 75-90 minute tour includes the use of EMF meters (electromagnetic field meters) for the curious ghost hunter.

About the Physick House

Named after the “Father of American Surgery,“ Dr. Philip Syng Physick, the Physick House was built in 1786. Dr. Physick resided in the house from 1815 until his death in 1837. During that time, many patients came to the house to be seen by the esteemed surgeon. Dr. Physick’s legacy includes pioneering many surgery techniques and instruments, and remaining in Philadelphia to care for the sick during the yellow fever epidemic of 1793. Several supernatural experiences have occurred at the estate. They have been attributed to at least two different ghosts.
