Long-term survivors of HIV – those who were diagnosed in the 1980s and early 1990s – have lived through decades of challenging conditions and experienced many losses and traumas. Older adults living with HIV who were more recently diagnosed have similarly faced many challenges, including stigma around both age and HIV status.
Despite the challenges, our communities of people living with HIV demonstrate great resilience. We are not only surviving with HIV, but also thriving. Join the LGBT Elder Initiative for this free forum and discussion on HIV survivorship, overcoming hardship, and thriving with HIV.
