This presentation will review basic nutrition concepts and what makes up a healthy eating regimen. The presentation focuses on how carbohydrates are digested and absorbed, and which carbohydrates are the healthiest and most satiating. The presentation will debunk several nutritional myths and educate the attendee on how to choose healthy food items. Overall, this presentation will provide understanding as to why plant-based food items are nutritionally superior and teach the attendee how to maximize their nutritional intakes in order to live optimally.
