Sexual intimacy does not stop when we get older! However, aging can contribute to physiological changes in our bodies that may impact how we experience arousal and sexual functioning. Medical conditions, hormonal changes, and medications can all bring about changes in our sex lives. While many people may be uncomfortable discussing these changes with their doctors, engaging in open dialogue with our providers about sex and sexual health can help make sure we get the most enjoyment out of our sex lives.

Join the LGBT Elder Initiative and Jefferson Health for this month’s “Doctor Is In” program on sexual health in our later years. We’ll learn about the factors that can impact sexual health as we get older and the steps to take to address any issues. We will also gain some tips for having effective conversations with our doctors about sexuality and sexual health.
