“The Doctor Is In” is going virtual! Join the LGBT Elder Initiative and Jefferson Health to learn about strokes and reducing our stroke risk.

Strokes are the leading cause of long-term disability in the United States. The risk of experiencing a stroke increases as we get older. Fortunately, 80% of strokes are preventable. In this webinar, we’ll learn about the causes, symptoms, complications, and treatment of strokes. We will discuss the lifestyle factors that can help prevent stroke as well as the medical conditions that impact our risk level. We will also learn the warning signs of a stroke so that we can react quickly if we or someone we know might be having a stroke.
