The Doctor Is In (Virtually!) Dementia & Cognitive Health
June 8 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Experiencing some mild forgetfulness can be a normal part of the aging process. Dementia, however, is a far more serious decline in cognitive functioning that interferes with a person’s daily life and activities. This can include a loss of functioning related to memory, language skills, visual perception, problem-solving, and the ability to pay attention.
Join the Elder Initiative and Jefferson Health for this month’s “Doctor Is In” program to learn about dementia and cognitive health. We will explore the different types of dementia and the ways they impact the brain and cognitive functioning. We’ll also review the risk factors for dementia and gain tips and strategies for maintaining brain health.
Support for this program is provided by Jefferson Health.
