Center in the Park has partnered with Jefferson Elder Care to present a series of monthly caregiving workshops, each facilitated by an Occupational Therapist. The series will begin on Wednesday, October 26 with “Understanding and Addressing Challenging Behaviors,” which can include agitation, refusing help, waking at night and/or wandering. Anyone who is caring for a loved one with memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease or another type of dementia is encouraged to attend. The workshops, which provide a forum for caregivers to learn new strategies for helping their relatives, will be on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 2:30 p.m. at Center in the Park, 5818 Germantown. Ave. Registration is not required.
