We all experience many losses throughout our lifetimes. Whether we are talking about the loss of a partner, a family member, a friend, or a physical loss related to our health, experiencing grief and loss is a part of life. These losses, and their associated grief, can affect us in many different ways. Learning about the grief we have experienced and how we have coped with it can help us find meaning from these losses, and ultimately strengthen us. Understanding how we currently cope with grief can better prepare us for the losses we may experience as we continue to grow older.

This interactive workshop will explore the ways that grief and loss can impact LGBT older adults. Participants will be encouraged to examine the effects of their past losses, their coping methods for present losses, and to begin preparing for future losses.

-This program is free and open to the public
-Lunch will be served
-SEPTA reimbursements will be provided to cover travel costs

Support for this program is provided by the Philadelphia Gay News.
