HIV & Aging: Nutrition 101

It’s not always easy to maintain a healthy and well-balanced diet, but eating well is a key factor for having good health as you get older. Good nutrition helps to strengthen your immune system, increasing your body’s ability to fight off infections and reducing the likelihood of certain illnesses and disease. A healthy diet can improve how you feel each day, giving you more energy and improving your mood. Making changes to your diet can also help you to better manage symptoms of HIV and other chronic illnesses, as well as some side effects of medications.

Join the LGBT Elder Initiative for a trip to MANNA to learn about the importance of good nutrition as we age, including tips for adjusting our diets to improve our mental and physical health.
