A balanced and nutritious diet is good for our health at any age but is especially important in keeping us healthy as we grow older. Getting the right nutrients in the appropriate amounts can strengthen the immune system and the body’s ability to fight off certain infections and illnesses. Eating well can help us to live longer, maintain our independence, and improve our quality of life!

Join the Elder Initiative and Jefferson Health for this month’s “Doctor Is In” webinar to learn about nutrition and healthy eating. We’ll learn about the important nutrients to include in our daily food intake and discuss ways of making food choices that promote healthy aging. We’ll also discuss ways to shop for healthier foods and to prepare nutritious meals on a budget.
